| Gosikhurd Dam Opens 19 Gates |
Bhandara: Today morning, at 8:00 AM, the Gosikhurd Dam in Bhandara district had 19 out of its 33 gates opened by 0.5 meters each. This release is discharging 2,290 cubic meters per second (cumecs) of water, which is equivalent to 80,882 cubic feet per second (cusecs), into the downstream areas.
According to water level readings recorded at Wadsa, Ashti, and Chichdoh Barrage monitoring stations, the Wainganga River is currently flowing below the warning level. Authorities are keeping a close watch on the situation while ensuring safe water management from the dam.
